Phensedyl Kingpin Billal Miah Arrested In Tripura

Agartala, 17 Oct 2018: In a joint operation this morning Tripura police and Railway Protection Force (RPF) arrested one of the kingpins of drug paddling racket in the state from Dharmanagar bound train at Teliamura under Khowai district. 

According to police, the accused Billal Miah, a resident of bordering town Sonamura has been under scanner of the police for past many days. Police got to know that Miah has been running the illegal business of Phensedyl in the state for long time and actively involved in cross border deal of illicit drug trafficking but he was evading arrest.

Acting on a tip off, police launched search in Agartala-Dharmanagar passenger train in the early morning and caught hold of Billal at Teliamura station.

Initial investigation revealed that he was on the way to West Bengal via Assam to hold meeting with the drug paddling network.UNI INDIA
