PSM INDIA moving towards Access of quality healthcare for all

We conducted the 2nd Universal Health Camp on 14th May,2016 under the aegis of Patient Safety and Access Initiative of India Foundation and Mata Anandmayee Hospital in Varanasi. The camp to register citizens for the Medical Card was held at the premises of Diamond Hotel, Varanasi.

The said camp was held from 11:30am till 4:00pm with doctors from Mata Anandmayee Hospital, Shivala, Varanasi. Along with the doctors, there were three  attendants to help register the patients and two attendants to help distribute free medicine to patients at the camp itself. Additionally, the owners and management of the hotel distributed tea and heavy snacks to the doctor and all the attendants that were present during the entire health camp. We extend our gratitude to them for the same.

80 patients were seen in a span of 4.5 hours and lots of medicines were given to patients who was prescribed the same for their respective ailments.

Shri Surendra Singh Patel, the Hon'ble State Minister of PWD & Irrigation, Government of Uttar Pradesh graciously attended the camp at Diamond Hotel, Bhelupur, Varanasi thus supporting us in our initiative. He has very kindly agreed to consider holding one such camp in his constituency as well.

19th May,2016: We conducted the 3rd Universal Health Camp under the aegis of Patient Safety and Access Initiative of India Foundation and Mata Anandmayee Hospital in Varanasi today. The camp to register citizens for the Medical Card was held at the premises of FM Motors, the FIAT dealers, Mahmoorganj, Varanasi.

The said camp was held from 11:30am till 1:30pm with a doctor from Mata Anandmayee Hospital, Shivala, Varanasi. Along with the doctor, there was one attendant to help register the patients and three attendants to help distribute free medicine to any patients at the camp itself.

The doctor saw 29 patients in a span of 2 hours and lots of medicines were given to whoever was prescribed the same for their respective ailments.

Both were successful camps and have greatly encouraged us to conduct larger camps that we propose to have over the next five and a half months.

These camps were organised by Gaurav Kapoor, assigned by Mr. Bejon Misra on behalf of Patient Safety and Access Initiative of India Foundation with the blessings of Swamiji of Mata Anandmayee Hospital.

We propose further weekly camps and slowly increasing them in size, the number of doctors and the number of hours to ensure a bigger reach of Mata Anandmayee Hospital, Jan Aushadhi Kendra and the medical card on offer with its many unique benefits. This will help us slowly build towards and achieve all the objectives we have set out to in this initiative of Universal Health access to all.
