One Arrested With High Quantities Of Phensedyl In Malda

Malda, 17 Oct 2017:

One man was arrested by the Englishbazaar police with high quantities of phensedyl cough syrup after the latter embraced the guise of potential buyers and tricked him.

The incident took place in the Susthani More area of Englishbazaar late last night. The arrested man has been identified as Afros Ali, a 19 years old resident of the Schoolpara locality in Sujapur, Kaliyachak.

Around 200 bottles of the phensedyl cough syrup were found in Ali’s possession. Reports state that he was loitering around Susthani More since he intended to smuggle the cough syrup to Bangladesh.

According to police sources, Afros Ali has also been involved with a bike smuggling gang since a long time now. Siliguri Times
