Consultation On Medical Tourism In Goa

Goa, 24 November, 2018: A Round Table discussion at CII Office on “Promoting Medical Tourism in Goa,

Opportunities & Challenges” was recently chaired by Prof. Bejon Misra, Board Member of Quality Council of India & National Accreditation Board for Hospitals (NABH) also Founder of Patient Safety and Access Initiative of India Foundation, New Delhi. Medical tourism is a booming sector in India, growing at an annual rate of 30%. Every year, hundreds of thousands of foreign nationals are flogging to India for high end medical treatments. Better healthcare facilities, availability of skilled doctors and improved quality of care has made India a preferred destination for medical tourism. Valuable inputs were gathered at the round table discussion that has paved the way forward for this initiative.
