Hyderabad High Court Dismisses Plea Against Pharma Firm
Hyderabad, 14 Sept 2018: A two-judge bench of the High Court at Hyderabad comprising Chief Justice TBN Radhakrishnan and Justice S V Bhatt on Friday dismissed a writ appeal filed by the TS Medical Services and Infrastructure Development Corporation (TSMSIDC) against an order of a single judge in a writ petition filed for blacklisting of Zinc Sulphate Dispersible Tablet. Initially, M/s Maxchem Pharmaceuticals Private Limited filed a writ petition questioning the action of TSMSIDC in blacklisting the Zinc Sulphate Tablet without considering the representations made by them.
A single judge in an interim order directed the TSMSIDC to refer to the Central Drug Laboratory, Calcutta samples of the Tablet Zinc Sulphate supplied by the petitioner for the purpose of testing as to whether the said tablets are of standard quality as per the tests prescribed in pharmacopoeia. Aggrieved by the interim order, the TSMSIDC filed the current appeal. The bench, while dismissing the writ appeal, directed the appellants to send the samples of Tablet to Central Drug Laboratory for testing purpose. The bench also directed the single judge to consider the report of the Central Drug Laboratory at the final hearing stage.Telangana Today
