Hosmat Hospital dedicates its third facility in Bengaluru

Hosmat Hospitals launched its 3rd hospital in Bengaluru. The new hospital is called Hosmat Speciality Hospital, is located opposite palace grounds (gate number 5), on Bellary Road in Sadashivanagar.
This facility will have seven operations theatres, & it will cater to all surgical specialities, with a centre of excellence for orthopaedics, and ortho sub-specialities, such as joint replacement, accident & injuries, sports injuries, arthroscopy & ligaments, paediatric ortho, hand surgery, plastic & reconstructive surgery including reimplantation of fingers and limbs, foot & ankle. Neurosurgery - brain & spine. Bone cancer surgery and arthritis.
Hosmat stands for hospital for orthopaedic, sports medicine, arthritis and accident trauma. With 3 hospitals, 7 orthopaedic sub-specialities, Hosmat is one of the largest, and best-equipped group of orthopaedic hospitals in India, having 550 beds and 28 modern operation theatres, with the latest technology. Dr. Thomas Chandy set up Hosmat in 1993, after he left a successful position as chief of orthopaedics in Tulsa, Oklahoma, after 15 years in the US. He returned to the city to start Bengaluru’s first orthopaedic and accidents hospital. Having built a legacy of 30 years since its inception, of the first hospital on Magrath Road in 1993, the hospital has treated more than 15 lakh patients from India and abroad, and has been doing pioneering work in the field of orthopaedics, injuries, and neurosurgery, for last 30 years.
The second facility was opened in January 2022 in Bengaluru at Kalyan Nagar. The 3 hospitals have 20 well qualified full time, and 15 experienced visiting orthopaedic consultants, and neurosurgeons, plastic, microvascular surgeons, and excellent anaesthetist, all totalling over 75 consultants in all medical and surgical specialities, in addition to orthopaedics. The most modern technology is used which includes the latest 3rd generation automatic robotic system, for joint replacement, which helps in delivering excellent results.
Hosmat has also established the Handicapped and Crippled Children’s Foundation which is 80 G Registered Trust. Part of this is a programme called ‘Make Me Walk’, for children who are born with, or developed orthopaedic or developed neuro disabilities in childhood.
