Pharmac South to open at Chennai Trade Centre on July 14, 200 exhibitors to display their brands

South India's biggest pharmaceutical expo, Pharmac South 2023, will be kicked off at the Chennai Trade Centre on July 14th, in the presence of industry leaders, marketing companies, and regulatory officers.
According to the organizers of the event, this year's trade show will be the country's most comprehensive product exhibition of pharmaceuticals, nutraceuticals, and medical devices as well as the latest innovations in production technologies. This is the eighth event in the series organized by the drug manufacturers association in Tamil Nadu (TN IDMA).
Talking to Pharmabiz about the pharma expo, the vice-chairman of TN IDMA, T. Sathish said this year's Pharmac South will bring together key stakeholders of the pharma industry including captains of MNCs, policymakers, brand managers of leading pharma companies, healthcare professionals, and technology providers. From the regulatory side, the Drug Controller General of India (DCGI) is also expected to be present in one meeting.
In addition to this, representing the union commerce ministry, the chairman of the Pharmaceuticals Export Promotion Council (Pharmexcil), Dr. SV Veeramani, will be participating in the event for the entire two days.
About the benefit of the Tamil Nadu pharmaceutical companies out of the trade show, Sathish said this exclusive trade exhibition will try to bring together potential customers and buyers from all parts of the country into a common platform to facilitate meaningful discussions and explore partnerships to drive the TN pharma industry forward. The MSMEs and emerging startups in South India can explore growth opportunities and enhance their industry knowledge through seminars and interactive sessions (B2B) to be conducted as part of the program. The event will provide them with valuable insights into emerging technologies and market trends also.
So far 200 stalls have been booked by the exhibitors to showcase their brands and the expo is expected to be a massive success. There is no doubt that Pharmac South 2023 will be a platform for leading pharma companies to project their brands before a targeted audience of professionals and industry managers from every sector of the pharma and allied industries. All the participants in the event will get the opportunities to meet and interact with their targeted customers, he expressed the hope.
"As part of the event, we are holding scientific seminars and motivational programs for the participants. There will be a seminar on the 'Role of Leadership for Excellence & Profitable Growth' on the first day and a regulatory conclave on the second day. One session is dedicated to updating FSSAI. Further to this, there will be an educational program on Intellectual Property Protection for pharma companies to give awareness to the startups and the MSME units”, he added.
As regards participation of bigger companies from north India, Sathish said, compared to the last edition, this year's edition will be bigger in terms of participation with significant representations from corporate sector pharma manufacturers and supporting companies.
