Specially engineered Dehumidifiers are available today to meet the specific needs of the pharmaceutical industry, experts said adding that these dehumidifier come with new-generation desiccant technology that is adept at saving 30 per cent energy while giving an unmatched performance at 95°C temperature in pharmaceutical plants.
As the industry requires large-scale production of medicines and healthcare equipment, manufacturers seek energy-efficient and cost-effective solutions to garner healthcare products of the highest quality.
Desiccants play a vital role in the pharmaceutical industry by providing an effective means of controlling moisture levels. In addition to their ability to absorb moisture, desiccants are non-toxic and can be used safely for storing medicines. Desiccants are commonly used to keep products dry and stable. Dry desiccants can absorb moisture from air either by physical adsorption or by chemical reaction, and thus reduce the humidity in the headspace of sealed containers.
The air dehumidifier is the ideal solution to control humidity in spaces where medicine is processed. Humidity is an essential factor in the pharmaceutical industry, especially with hygroscopic materials.
According to Dhirendra Choudhary, CEO, Bry-Air, “Pahwa Group has diversified its dehumidification and quality air solutions depending on the requirement of the pharma and healthcare industry. Keeping in line with this, we have come up with BryShield, a first-of-its-kind air filtration system for small server rooms. It is deployed in MRI rooms and IVF clinics for maintaining the quality of the air in an energy-efficient way. We have come up with a P95X Dehumidifier as well that is specially engineered for the pharmaceutical industry.”
“Understanding the specific requirement of the industry, our Bry-Air BrySmart Series (BBS) Dehumidifiers help the healthcare industry stay ahead of the technology curve. As the pharmaceutical industry contributes to more than 80 per cent of our business, we integrated Industry 4.0 to BBS for aiding in the automation of the process with the help of sensor monitoring, controlling, and data logging. It is a way forward in mediating energy conservation that is supporting the manufacturing of healthcare products in the most cost-effective way. Aiding in providing the best quality products while rendering a resilient infrastructure, it has contributed a lot to strengthening India’s position in the international market. The compact and energy-efficient Dehumidifiers are at par with that of the other countries and innovating in the same line,” Choudhary further explained.
Choudhary further informed that Pahwa Group comes with more than 58 years of experience in the industry. It ventured into the market at a time when there was hardly any awareness around dehumidification. The company has new plants at Manesar and Bhiwadi and one of our facilities at Manesar has been recognized as Platinum Certified Green Factory Building for conforming to the prominent green building certification agencies such as ASSOCHAM, ECBC, LEED, and Indian Green Building Council. The plant also received a Net Zero Building Certification for reducing the pressure on depleting natural resources by employing principles of reducing, reusing, and recycling resources.
