Rajasthan innovators come up with smart ideas
Kota, July 28, 2021:
Is it a hand sanitizer that can be worn like a wristwatch? A graduate of the Faculty of Engineering in the Jarawar district claims to have developed it exactly. Worried that his mother, a health care worker, could be infected with the coronavirus, 25-year-old Ayasshake came up with a refillable device at hand.
Sajid Khan, Jhalawar’s chief health officer, said his department had raised about 600 units and government center nurses started using them.
The wristband has a capacity of 15 ml and weighs only 30 g with disinfectant. The width of the container is 2 inches and the height is 1 inch. It incorporates a small pump that is 3/4 inch long.
Shake says the device sprays a tenth of a millimeter each time in the “optimal” way, due to the angle at which the device is placed. This is 150 spray shots from each refill.
His innovations are enrolled in I-Start, a state government program to promote start-ups, and are applying for device patents. It is called “CoRakshak Band” and is sold on e-commerce sites.
Sheikh says he got the device correctly in January after four unsuccessful attempts.
“My mother was a healthcare professional and I was worried about her, so I first started working on gadgets for my mother,” he said. ET Health
