Prof. Bejon Misra As Jury Chair At Express Healthcare Excellence Awards 2019

The Indian Express Ltd, invited Prof Bejon Kumar Misra to Chair the Jury for the Express Healthcare Excellence Awards 2019 on July 11, 2019 at Radisson Blu, Airport Delhi.

The Awards are a part of the fourth edition of Express Healthcare Senate, a thought leadership summit for India's private healthcare titans, who assembled in Delhi on July 11-12, 2019. 

Prof Misra said: There is an urgent need for private sector healthcare providers in India to get actively 

engaged in the Ayushman Bharat Scheme to reach out to 400 billion beneficiaries and be part of the Quality Movement under QCI-NABH. He also appealed to the Government to invest at least 5% of the GDP into healthcare and incentivise the private sector to enable poor patients to access quality care at the most affordable cost and empower patients to make an informed choice on accessing healthcare under Universal Health Coverage to be achieved by 2030.
