NPPA Fixes Retail Prices Of 18 Formulations

Mumbai, 3 June 2019: The national drug pricing regulator National Pharmaceutical Pricing Authority (NPPA) has fixed retail prices of 18 formulations under Drugs Prices Control Order (DPCO), 2013 in related notification dated May 31, 2019. 

Name of the formulations are Alpha Lipoic + Methylcobalamin + Inositol USP + Folic Acid + Benfotiamine + Chromium Polynicotinate + Pyridoxine Hydrochloride Capsule, Voveran 1ml AQ Injection, Diclofenac + Thiocolchicoside Capsule, Amoxycillin + Clavulanic Acid Tablet (UNIMOX CV 1000), Glimepiride + Metformin + Voglibose Tablet, Amlodipine + Metoprolol Tablet, Rabeprazole + Domperidone Capsule (Instek D Capsule), Pantoprazole + Domperidone Capsule (Domelong P Capsule), Metformin + Voglibose Tablet, Metformin + Glimepiride Tablet (Proglutrol G2 Forte), Pantoprazole Sodium + Itopride Hydrochloride Capsules (PANZO-IT), Metformin + Voglibose Tablet (Proglutrol V 0.2), Metformin + Voglibose Tablet (Proglutrol V 0.3), Metformin + Glimepiride Tablet (Proglutrol G1), Metformin + Glimepiride Tablet (Proglutrol G2) etc. 

The manufacturers not complying with the ceiling price and notes specified herein above shall be liable to deposit the overcharged amount along with interest thereon under the provisions of the Drugs (Prices Control) Order, 2013 read with Essential Commodities Act, 1955. 

Consequent to the issue of ceiling prices of such formulations as specified in this notification, the price order(s) fixing ceiling or retail price, if any, issued prior to the said date of notification, stand(s) superseded, the NPPA in its notification said. Pharmabiz
