Health cards with medical history for all in Haryana
CHANDIGARH, Dec 2016:
The government has decided to issue computerized health cards to 2.5 crore residents of the state and health data of every individual will be linked with unique identification issued by the Unique Identification Authority of India. "As and when the patient visits a health facility for a second time or goes to another health facility, the record of the patient with all details will be visible to the doctor," said state health minister Anil Vij.
Under the concept, all essential tests of each individual would be conducted, report of the tests would be entered into the computer and uploaded on health card as well. A primary report would be given by the hospital relating to the health status of the person concerned.
A print out of the card can be obtained by the person concerned, if he so desires. The data of each individual will be preserved in a central server so that the same be assessed from any health facility in the state on the basis of UID of the person concerned. The health minister said that the health department had already invited an expression of interest to make health cards.
He added that when the patient gets the checkup done, those would automatically be linked with the unique health identification number (UHID) of the patient. The results of all tests and OPD or indoor services given to the patient will get linked to the UHID.
For each registration, the patient shall have to use an identity proof approved by the state government or resident database record. The registration shall be linked to Haryana resident database and Aadhar and authentication will be possible from that database.
To ensure seamless hassle free services of making universal health card (UHC) with UHID, dedicated manpower would be provided in existing health facilities for making health cards. Times of India
