Chennai, March 14, 2023 :

Generic Aadhar, the largest retail-chain generic stores in the private sector with a pan-India presence, is all set to reach each and every corner of the country by next year. The company also has plans to set up 1,000 outlets in Tamil Nadu in the next one year.

“Our plan is not only to make more retail outlets in Tamil Nadu, but to reach every corner of the country with quality medicines at affordable prices for a better healthcare service to each and every person. We want to reach every citizen of the country to fulfill his medicinal requirements at affordable prices”, Aniket Raje, business head of the company told Pharmabiz over telephone from Mumbai.

Within a few months of its launch in south India, the company has built a strong presence in almost all the south Indian states, especially in Tamil Nadu. In a short span of time, the network company could achieve business growth with 200 plus retail stores across the state. The company plans to increase the number of retail stores to one thousand within one year, he said.

Later, talking to Pharmabiz, the company’s business executive from Mumbai, Arun Pillai, has said that all over India over 2,000 outlets are now operating. In each state the company has reached a tie-up with manufacturing companies and they send their products to the warehouses for local deliveries. Logistic facility has been set up for smooth delivery of supplies to all the places in the state.

Mannargudi Ramachandran, the first wholesale dealer of Generic Aadhar in the state said there are over 50 wholesale dealers for the network group in Tamil Nadu. In Mannargudi five retail outlets are operating as franchisees of Generic Aadhar. All over Tanjore district, more than fifty shops of Generic Aadhar are working in various places.

Talking about the price variations and discounts, he said the company is selling the generic medicines equal to the rates of the Jan Aushadhi Stores. However, there is slight variation in the prices of some molecules. Products with more than one thousand molecules are dealt in the business by the Generic Aadhar. He said the company is giving priority to quality aspects and all the medicines are manufactured by leading manufacturers.

He said he has advised the members of his faction of the TNCDA to become members of the retail chain, Generic Aadhar, so that they can easily increase their business. Further he expressed the hope that thousands of retailers are now severing their ties with the Tamil Nadu Chemists and Druggists Association (TNCDA) and probably they all will take franchise from the Generic Aadhar network which is supported by the popular industrialist Ratan Tata.
