PAMM to support and join Pharmac South to showcase its products and services

Chennai, June 24, 2022:

Expecting that the diverse range of audience planning to visit the pharmaceutical expo in July in Chennai will create a new environment for promoting their products, the Pharmaceutical Association of Marketers and Manufacturers (PAMM), the new marketers’ body floated by pharma marketers in Tamil Nadu, has decided to fully support and join the trade show, Pharmac South 2022.

The association will also put up a stall in the expo and its members will have separate display booths to showcase their products and services, says A Kannan, chairman of the PAMM.

The association received its registration number (TPSRG/4447928/2021) last week to work at an all India level as a pharmaceutical marketers’ organisation with headquarters in Chennai.

“We have postponed our first AGM to the third week of July because of Pharmac South as every member of our association wants to be present at the Chennai Trade Centre on July 8 and 9 with the hope that the expo will provide them opportunities to branch out to business-to-business trading. They also expect to make more customers for them from the visitors. Pharmac South is always a good marketing tool for our members to promote their products and services,” says Kannan.

Talking about participation of PAMM members in the exhibition, he said members from all districts of the state have been given a circular to reach Chennai on July 7th itself to associate with the organizing committee. Some of the members of the association are manufacturers who are also members with TN IDMA. From all over Tamil Nadu 1,500 marketers and contract manufacturers will visit the stalls representing PAMM. He said PAMM has started giving membership to new entrepreneurs from other states.

About the inauguration of the first AGM, the new marketers’ body plans to include a minimum of 40 marketing people from all districts across the state. The two days program will comprise a talk on marketing strategies and legal issues, seminars, panel discussions, motivation speech and a cultural program. The program will be conducted in either in Ootty or in Chennai.

When asked whether marketers who have separated from the Trichy based marketers’ body, CIPMMA, will be permitted to attend the AGM of PAMM, Kannan said his association has no hostility towards anybody, but there will be a screening prior to enrolling them into the list of PAMM. He said a lot of marketers who are having membership with CIPMMA are showing their interest to join the new association which welcomes everybody.

The PAMM chief said in the post-Covid situation, unlike in other states, a big rise is seen in the number of contract manufacturing companies in Tamil Nadu. It will help for the growth of marketing companies in the pharmaceutical sector.  Pharmabiz
