Consumer Online Foundation (COF) is the brain child of Prof. Bejon Kumar Misra, a leading international consumer policy expert who has been actively crusading for empowering the Indian Consumer since more than 40 years. As a recognised voluntary consumer organisation, and an affiliate member of IAPO, COF is constantly endeavouring to uplift the consumers and protect their rights.
It was under Prof. Misra’s leadership, as Chairman of the Consumer Coordination Council, that the tagline Jago Grahak Jago (Wakeup Consumer Wakeup) was coined and implemented by the Government of India.
Backed by a strong team of like-minded individuals dedicated towards the same cause, COF has gradually extended its wings across the nation – from Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata and Hyderabad to Patna, Jamshedpur, Lucknow, Varanasi, Guwahati and Dimapur in Nagaland.
Consumer Online Foundation holds the distinction of being the only ISO 9001:2015 certified voluntary consumer organisation on Consumer Complaint Redressal Services. We started our online complaint redressal operations in 2013 which gave more voice and power to the consumers. We managed to put a smile back on the faces of more than a million aggrieved consumers. Be it in the field of health, education or online transactions, we continue to work as the ‘Link’ to your Rights!
