September 28, 2021: Cardiovascular disease (CVD), previously thought to affect individuals over the age of 70, is now found in younger individuals. Due to the increasing sedentary and unhealthy lifestyle, the number of heart diseases in young adults has increased rapidly in the last few years. As the magnitude of CVD increased exponentially, the onset of the COVID pandemic exacerbated the situation and feared that people would visit medical services, so a minimal number of heart diseases were detected early on.

PCI wants CDSCO to empower drug officers to file case directly if pharmacists are found absent at outlets

Bengaluru, September 27, 2021: The Pharmacy Council of India (PCI) has asked the Public Grievances Cell of the Central Drugs Standard Control Organization (HQ) to ensure that enforcement officers can file the case at courts directly if phar-macists are found absent at the pharmacy outlets. This is because non-presence of pharmacist to dis-pense drugs is a breach of Rule 65 (1), (2) and (3) of the Drugs and Cosmetics Rules, 1945.Read More
