Our country has witnessed a significant decline in the infant mortality rate (IMR) compared to last year. In 2015, the infant mortality rate (IMR) was 37 deaths per 1000 births which has declined to 34 deaths per 1,000 live births in 2016. Thanks to the government’s initiative such as free maternal and newborn health services, strengthening delivery services, promotions of breastfeeding and immunization promotion programmes which help to get such a reduction in infant mortality rate (IMR). India has recorded a significant reduction in infant mortality rate compared to last year. Apart from this, deaths at birth have also decreased and there is also a decrease in gender ratio differences.
According to data released by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, the infant mortality rate has decreased by 3 points, which is 8 percent of the total mortality rate, an improvement aided by various government’s initiatives, including strengthening healthcare services, free maternal and newborn health services, quality assurance and promoting awareness regarding the benefits of breastfeeding and immunization. October 2017: According to CBCNews Manitoba, an extradition hearing date is set for five Winnipeg men accused of illegally importing and selling $78 million worth of misbranded and counterfeit drugs to American doctors from 2009 to 2012. Kristjan Thorkelson, Thomas Haughton, Ronald Sigurdson, Darren Chalus and Troy Nakamura will appear in the Manitoba Court of Queen’s Bench during the week of May 7, 2018 to face an extradition request the U.S Department of Justice for their roles in the CanadaDrugs.com case. The sixth defendant, James Trueman, is expected to have his hearing date set in Vancouver soon. Ian McLeod, Manager of Media Relations and Litigation Communications for Canada’s Department of Justice, wrote in an email, “The judge may make a decision from the bench immediately, but may also take time to review the information presented.
Florida Trio Indicted For Conspiracy To Make And Sell Fake Prescription Drugs
October 2017: According to the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ), three Florida residents have been charged with conspiracy to import, manufacture, and distribute fake prescription drugs and anabolic steroids. Ryan Sikora, Josh Bush, II, and Ariel Murphy all live in Chipley, Florida and were indicted by a federal grand jury in August. The last of the three made their initial court appearance on Friday, September 8, 2017.
