PM's Picture Excluded From Covid-19 Vaccine Certificates In Poll-Bound States: Sources
New Delhi, 11 March 2021: The Union Health Ministry has applied filters in its Co-Win platform in poll-going states and a union territory to exclude the picture of the prime minister from the Covid-19 vaccine certificates, sources said on Thursday. In a letter to the Election Commission on March 9, Union Health Secretary Rajesh Bhushan is learnt to have said that "technical measures to comply with the directions of EC have been explored promptly."

Anti-Dumping Duty Imposed On Chinese Ciprooxacin HydrochlorideNew Delhi, 13 March 2021: India has imposed anti-dumping duty on the Chinese antibacterial drug Ciprofloxacin Hydrochloride to guard the domestic industry against cheap imports from the neighbouring country. The duty was imposed following a recommendation by the commerce ministry's investigation arm Directorate General of Trade Remedies (DGTR).
Germany, France, Canada & Oz Say Astra Vaccine Is Safe Berlin, 13 March 2021: Officials in several European countries, along with Canada and Australia, pushed back on Friday against decisions by others to pause use of AstraZeneca’s Covid-19 vaccine following sporadic reports of blood clots, despite a lack of evidence that the shot was responsible.
Novavax Shot 96% Effective Against Covid In Final StudyWashington, 13 March 2021: US-based Novavax on Friday announced a final efficacy figure of 96.4% for its vaccine against the original strain of the novel coronavirus, with an efficacy as high as 83.4% two weeks after the first shot itself, boosting the global fight against covid-19.

'No Evidence' Of Blood Clot Risk From Vaccine: AstraZenecaLondon, 13 March 2021 (ANI): AstraZeneca, on Friday defended its vaccine saying that there was "no evidence of an increased risk" of blood clots, and European and UK medicines regulators have each said the link between the vaccine and blood clots has not been confirmed and that rollouts should continue.
India To Produce J&J Shot As Part Of Quad InitiativeNew Delhi, 12 March 2021: India will manufacture the US-developed Johnson & Johnson’s single-dose Covid shot as part of the first Quad vaccine initiative. Curb Covid-19 Vaccine Wastage, Cross-Selling By Private Hospitals, Centre Tells States New Delhi, 10 March 2021: The Centre has asked states to curb wastage of vaccines to avoid the creation of a black market in the future, curb cross-selling of products by private hospitals to people who come for vaccination, and to focus on resolving scheduling and other implementation issues including issuing of digital certificates for those vaccinated.
CAG Report On Uttarakhand Hospitals: Inoperative ICUs, X-Ray Machines Without License Dehradun, 10 March 2021: A report filed by the Comptroller and Auditor General of India (CAG) on the outcomes of Uttarakhand’s district hospitals covering the period 2014-19, which was tabled in the state Assembly on Saturday, has been extremely critical of the state-run institutions, pointing to a lack of operation theatres for emergency surgeries and inoperative ICU facilities, X-ray machines running without license, and of ambulances running without fitness or pollution certificates, among other shortcomings.

HC Asks Delhi Govt To Comply With Order To Regulate Online Path Labs Or Else Face Action
New Delhi, 5 March 2021: The Delhi High Court Friday said it expects that the AAP government will put things in order and comply with a judicial order asking authorities to take action and regulate online pathological labs, otherwise contempt action would be initiated. The high court, which was hearing a plea alleging non-compliance of its order in this regard, also sought to know from the AAP government whether its pathological laboratories and hospitals are NABL accredited.
