TNPDA asks manufacturers to stop direct supply of medicines to hospitals

August 9, 2023, The members attended the annual general body meeting of the Tamil Nadu Pharmaceutical Distributors Association (TNPDA) held in Tanjore on August 6 overwhelmingly agreed on a demand presented through a resolution by the organizing secretary that the drug manufacturing companies should stop direct supplies to the hospitals and market the products through proper channels. RDAC asks drug cos to display list of authorized distributors on websites to enable retailers to purchase directly from them

August 14, 2023, In the wake of the margin issue raised recently by the Tamil Nadu Pharmaceutical Distributors Association (TNPDA), the Retail Distribution Chemists Alliance (RDAC) in Delhi, an affiliate of the All India Organisation of Chemists and Druggists (AIOCD), has demanded to the drug manufacturers to stop direct supply of medicines to private hospitals and clinics. US FDA accepts Astellas sNDA for Cresemba to treat invasive aspergillosis or invasive mucormycosis in children

August 12, 2023, Astellas Pharma US, Inc. announced that the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has accepted the company's supplemental New Drug Application (sNDA) for Cresemba (isavuconazonium sulfate), a prodrug of isavuconazole, an azole antifungal drug, seeking approval for the treatment of invasive aspergillosis (IA) or invasive mucormycosis (IM) in paediatric patients aged one to 17 years old. August 02, 2023, The Jan Vishwas (Amendment of Provisions) Bill, 2022, recently passed in the Lok Sabha, decriminalises about 180 minor offences across 42 central laws spanning pharma, media, agriculture, the environment and industry. By converting or “compounding” prison sentences into fines and penalties, the new law will enable businesses to breathe freely.
