Two arrested for selling govt hospital's medicines

Sitapur (UP), (PTI) An employee of a district women hospital was today arrested along with another person for selling medicines meant for patients, police said."Chandra Kishore Singh, posted as chief pharmacist at the district women hospital, and Narendra Kumar were arrested along with medicines worth Rs 50,000 siphoned off from the pharmacy stock," they said.

When interrogated Kumar said that he paid Rs 2,000 for the medicines, they said.The medicines were to be supplied to quacks in remote areas of the district, they said, adding that an investigation is on.
