Health ministry constitutes 7-member panel to prepare 'National Drugs Database'
Mumbai, November 1, 2022: The Union ministry of health and family welfare has constituted a seven-member panel to prepare a comprehensive ‘National Drugs Database’ of drug formulations manufactured and marketed in the country. This will enhance regulatory oversight of medical products in the country to ensure their quality and bring uniformity to drug regulatory mechanisms across the country.

CDSCO directs states DCs to accept hard copy of application from medical devices traders for registration certificate
New Delhi, November 1, 2022: The Central Drugs Standard Control Organisation (CDSCO) has directed all the state drug controllers (DCs) to ac-cept the hard copy of the application to issue Registration Certificates to trade medical devices including in vitro diagnostic medical devices, which has been announced by the Union health ministry as an alternative to drugs sale license for these devices..

PSPC to appoint pharmacy inspectors to ensure presence of registered pharmacists in all pharmaciesChennai, October 29, 2022: After Kerala and Maharashtra, the Punjab State Pharmacy Council (PSPC) is planning to appoint pharmacy inspectors under Section 26 of the Pharmacy Act, 1948 to implement Section 42 to ensure presence of registered pharmacists in all pharmacies and to find out whether dispensing of medicines is carried out by unqualified people in any dispensing centre.

National capital records over 900 cases in October, tally rises to 1876
