One may need to take medicines every day, or only once in a while. Either way, you want to make sure that the medicines are safe and will help you get better. Medicines maintain and restore health by the prevention of treatment of illness in human beings . Then why is it that today most of us are getting critical after popping these pills ?!

Govt. extends deadline for pharma barcode
NEW DELHI, 2013: The government has extended the deadline for one more year to affix barcodes on primary level packaging by pharmaceutical companies till July 2014. A barcode helps in tracking and tracing of origin of drugs, which in turn helps in minimizing the chances of genuine drugs being considered spurious, sub-standard or counterfeit. UNSAFE Medicines are classified as SSFFC ( Substandard/ Spurious/ Falsified/ Falsely labeled/ Counterfeit ) . There is a marked difference between a substandard medicine and the remaining four. Substandard medicines results from poor manufacturing with no intent to deceive while the remaining SFFC medicines are made by people with the intent to mislead.
