 Government proposes measures to curb spurious drugs in market
NEW DELHI :Government is mooting a proposal to set up more drug testing laborataries in various states in a bid to rid the country's growing market from spurious medicines. This was stated by Minister of State for Health Sudip Bandopadhyay on the sideline of a workshop which was organized by PSM India in collaboration with the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, HM to amend Schedule K of D&C Rules to curb misuse of provisions by manufacturers of multivitamin preparations
Mumbai: The Union health ministry will soon amend Schedule K of the Drugs and Cosmetics Rules in respect of the extent of conditions of exemptions in the case of drugs falling under the definition of the term drug but not intended for medicinal use. |

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration has issued an updated alert that Reumofan Plus and Reumofan Plus Premium contain undeclared prescription drug ingredients that have impacted public safety.
