Only spurious medicines in the supply chain are not responsible for health and safety of the Patients. There are several other attributes, which leads to unsafe medication like self-medication, purchasing prescription medicines without Doctor’s Prescription, over dose of medicines, failure of the active pharmaceutical ingredients (API) and lack of regulatory oversight on Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Good Pharmaceutical Practices (GPP) and Good Distribution Practices (GDP).
PSM India Initiative works towards the cause of safeguarding the health of the Indian population by ensuring that the benefits of use of medicine outweigh the risks associated with its use. In this endeavor we to create awareness and move forward with all stakeholders conduct various seminars and workshops. Our bimonthly newsletter PSM NEWZ is also a small step taken to educate our citizens of dealing with this menace and highlighting the various steps taken by our Government and policy makers.
